Meet Sheila, Business Development Manager!
This month's spotlight focuses on Sheila, our wonderful Business Development Manager. Sheila has been a member of the Heart to Home Meals team for over two years and was originally an outbound Customer Service Representative. Before joining our company, Sheila earned her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in physics and art at Clark University.
The Business Development team also includes RJ and Karen, who mainly work on process improvements for customers and employees. For example, they recently spearheaded and introduced a new order tracking system. In addition, the Business Development team handles our new shipment model, which allows HTHM to service a wider delivery area. In the new shipment model, the meals are picked and packaged with dry ice at our headquarters in Marlborough, then shipped by FedEx to Western Massachusetts, the North Shore, or Southern New Hampshire. In the near future, they aim to service all of New England.
When asked about her role, Sheila said, "My daily routine always varies, which is why I enjoy it. I can go get dry ice for our courier deliveries, be at an event, or be on the phone with customers. It's never the same."
